hi, i’m ian.

I was born in Menlo Park, California, a small suburb about 40 minutes south of San Francisco. I decided I wanted to give the east coast a try for college and I sought out Boston University, where I majored in advertising and minored in political science.

I’ve been a writer as long as I could hold a pencil (what a discovery Microsoft Word was to 10-year-old me!) and I look for inspiration in anything and everything around me. The first “story” I ever wrote at the age of 8 was a blatant rip-off of the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but since then I’ve discovered the difference between “inspiration” and “plagiarism.”

Today, I’m putting my love of writing and language to good use to help people find new and unique ways to tell their stories.

When I’m not binge-watching Game of Thrones, that is.
